New Ideas List....

Hiya....

here are some ideas for features. I will warn you that I havent yet purchased it so apoligise for anything that may already be covered.

ADVERTS -
It would be a really good idea to add a advertising system into the script where members or visitors can purchase an advert space for each game.

Then the advert is placed on the individual game page. This would allow owners to make an income much easily and also charge higher prices for the most popular games,etc

SHOW CODE
Another good idea is if you could have a bit of code so that members could copy and paste the code into their myspace or other social networking sites/profiles. Then say if a non member clicks on the link the member is taken to the registration page and they can log in and play/challenge the user.

CHALLENGE MEMBER -
It would be good to have a high score board for members that have won games. This could be split up so you have a global score of all games won ...and then also have it for whos winning between you and your friends. This would certainly make it more addictive to play as you would want to become the top scrorer of all your friends.

AWARDS
Maybe you could set up a system that rewards members for reaching certain points. Then this could be shown on the profile.

MONTHLY RESET CRON JOB
You could add an admin option for all scores to be reset each month or on a weekly basis.

It would be good to have an overall score ...and then to also have a monthly/weekly score which are reset.

COMMENTS AND RATINGS
A comments board for each game and a rating system would be really good where members could leave comments and rate each game. Then the games could also have a listing determined by their rating.

CATEGORIES LAYOUT LIST

Personally I think you could maybe improve the way the categories are shown. Maybe having a category title and then showing 5 of the top games played for that category or even a random selection.

EMAILING SEND OUT
When a member is challenged you could have the system send out an email that tells the person they have recieved a challenge. This would obviously and hopefully make members keep returning.

Anyway ...just a few ideas I have had. Hope they are of use.

Oh and you may also want to add a contact admin form and then allow admins to view them in the admin panel. Wouldnt take much and would be a good thing for members.

Maybe even a report this game link so members can report broken games that dont load or are broken. This would certainly be a popular feature and wouldf save admins alot of work. lol

Heya...great work on the improvements. You guys work fast. Just thought Id add a few more as it seems you are being proactive. lol

With the report game it would be really good if you added a little text box so members could add their own comment on the game report .... not really a important thing but just incase they wanted to report it for another reason like the game isnt sending scores etc? You could even add a comment box on the friend request so members can send a little message.

Also ...the friend request is great! Are you going to have the admin panel have a turn on/off feature for the add ons and new features?

The favourite games list is also really kewl as there are so many games so at least people can keep a list of their best games!

Also ...an important one would be to display a description on the actual game screen so if admins wanted to they can write a description and rules to the games (i know most of the games have it included but some dont). Again ..maybe having the admin section having a turn on/off feature would make it awesome.

Tell a friend or email a friend the game would be another good thing. This would help with marketing the site.

Maybe adding keywords when adding games would also be good for the search. This way you can make the search more effective.

I did have some other important ideas but cant think of them now. lol

I think this script is going to be the best arcade script going! lol Good luck and if you need anymore ideas then ive got bags full of them (when I remember them) lol

Ah other ideas. lol I thought of them now....

It would be really really really awesome if you could set up some sort of system where the admin can select certain games as featured ones and you could get double points or something.

Then the featured games could be shown as a separate list at the top of the games page (say 3 across the top). You could also have the option to allow a maximum of game plays per day maybe. Again ...I think most of a scripts goodness is in the admin panel. If its possible then by setting it up so admins can actually turn on or off these things makes it all the more better and attractive! :)


Oh and a little tiny thing ....on the page that shows the games it says underneath Arcade Champion for the game top scorers. Maybe changing this to [gamename] Champion so it doesnt get confused with the overall champion?

Also I noticed that the game play count is added when a user visits the page. This kinda makes it an inaccurate count so im not sure if it would be easy to do but maybe having the count of game plays when the user actually ends the game?
