For this thread, we're inviting you to post a review about the hosting company you currently use. For now, this is the best resource for helping new StandAloneArcade customers find a host that can meet their needs.
To post your review, simply answer these questions:
1. What's the name of your host?
2. What's the link?
3. Are you happy with their service?
4. Why or why not?

HOstgator not allow arcade game script?
I've heard some stories of Hostgator banning people because they use too much storage. If you want a few thousand games, you're going to use some storage space.
If you want a host you can be sure supports SAA in every way, check out our officially approved hosting page at standalonearcade.com/hosting (http://standalonearcade.com/hosting)

Currently i used Hostgator to host my SAA script... I'm scare Hostgator will ban me...
I wonder why hostgator banning people that use too much storage? Is this wise action of a hosting company?
I have viewed the page about your hosting service, is SAA Free - package enough for hosting the script and thousand of game?
:D

:DIf you're physically importing the games, you probably need the SAA Gold package. The SAA Free package can store all of the games if you have the setting for importing files to disabled.

I don't think StandAloneArcade has a French language pack?

The installation went ok for me when I installed it on a test domain.
I used the Mass-Adding feature
Mass-Adding
To mass-add thousands of games from FGD, no setup steps are necessary!
Simply go to http://yoursite.com/arcade/admin/adder-fgd.php
I haven't tried adding games manually though. Is this what you did?

SAA doesn't have a French language pack yet, but they're easy to make! If you know French, simply go to your admin cp, go to langauges, and add new language and call it "French". Then, simply translate the phrases. There's an option to "export" and you can take the text file and post it here on the boards to share with others.

I use Arvixe for both my social network and now the arcade with SAA script! Arvixe is great! Their personal class package is what I use, and it comes with unlimited storage and bandwith for $7/mo! Whenever I have had problems, issues, or just how-to questions, they have been quick to respond and knowlegeable enough to get me the help I needed! Their CPanel has been easy to use to set up both my network and my arcade and they give a free lifetime domain with the package! Price is actually $4/mo if you pay for 2 years up front, but Im just going month to month for now. Checkout my sites if you want to see whats possible: social network - www.kairoslair.com and SA arcade - www.restaffnet.com
Address for hosting company is http://www.arvixe.com/1452.html
Hope this helps!

I'm using Hostmonster (http://www.hostmonster.com/track/gamecrea). They have lots of scripts that make it easy to add things like Wordpress, shopping carts and other things to your site. Unlimited space, unlimited transfer and unlimited domains. I heartily recomend them.

I use burst.net they're basic VPS plan is $5.95 a month and you have a 1TB bandwidth a month, 512mb ram, 20gb storage and 2 ips. I have been with them almost 2 years and have never had any problems.

I have 16 domains (including my new arcade website I'm still working on) with ixwebhosting.com
My stats currently show 2,541 MB used out of 1,999,999 MB in unlimited files, 483.2 MB used out of 99,999.0 GB limit. Their basic plan starts at $3.95 monthly and I just paid $124.00 for 12 months (I know that's a little hefty in today's market but I really like their fast support service and I've been with them 4 years). They are located in Columbus, Ohio - USA.

I have a master reseller account at Jixhost.com
Excellent service and fast response times to the few problems I've had. I would recommend them for anyone needing lots of space, lots of bandwidth, 99.9% uptime and excellent support.

v1.4
I have finally got it working. Simply by increasing available memory in php.ini
v2.0
Fatal error: Call to undefined method SimpleXMLElement::count() in /... //system/library/xml/parser/simplexml.class.php on line 63
Hope to overcome this problem as I'm very eager to test v2.0

The first one sounds like an issue with your host, the 2nd sounds like a bug that we've already got reported and will be fixing soon.
